We thank you for being a SunPower customer.
Earlier today, SunPower announced it has entered into an agreement through which Complete
Solaria, Inc. will acquire certain of SunPower’s Blue Raven Solar and New Homes businesses and the non-installing Dealer network.
To facilitate this transaction, SunPower concurrently filed voluntary petitions for relief under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, with
Complete Solaria serving as its Stalking Horse Buyer.
Chapter 11 is a court-supervised process in the U.S. where companies can obtain breathing room to complete a sale process while certain operations continue. At this time, SunPower has received a bid from Complete Solaria, Inc., for certain of the Company’s assets, and we continue to explore long-term solutions for SunPower’s remaining assets, which includes our ability to service your SunPower system.
While SunPower is currently unable to service your system, we are diligently working on an agreement with a service provider and recommend you continue to check our website, SunPower.com, for updates in the coming weeks.
To our cash and loan customers, should you need service urgently, your current loan or owned-system status allows you to contact any solar servicing company for repair work. We will share details on how this may impact your manufacturer-supported equipment warranties as they are available.
To our lease customers, the Company will aim to support your system through the term of your solar contract. Please note that effective 8/1/2024, all billing, contract, and home selling support will be provided by Launch Servicing. For further assistance, please contact the phone number listed on your billing statement. Additional support is available by logging into your online SunPower account at SunPower Online Account.
Additionally, as part of SunPower’s Chapter 11 cases, our claims agent, Epiq, is required to distribute certain notices and mailings to various stakeholders as important milestones unfold. Information related to claims can be found at http://dm.epiq11.com/SunPower.
